Today the parish continues in much the same way as
it has for the last century or so, an oasis of rural tranquility in a busy,
industrial and commercial world. The number of parishioners is small, a mixture
of the well-established, whose families have lived here for some time, and more
recent arrivals, and there is a constant and steady stream of visitors.
The present parish priest combines his duties with diocesan responsibilities,
but Mass is offered daily and the Poor Clares maintain the full round of
liturgical offices.
We are determined to maintain this historic Mission and to continue to preserve
the Faith for which our ancestors were persecuted and some died. Please help us
by your prayers and be assured of ours for you. Mass is offered for everyone
who visits this site, and you can leave requests for prayer in our
Guest Book.
Aided by the prayers of Our Lady, St Francis and St Clare, may the Lord be with
you at all times and, wherever you are, may you be with Him throughout all
time.
